Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – English and Hindi/Urdu Speaking

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant (English and Hindi/Urdu Speaking) for a prestigious household in the heart of Westminster. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals.
This position requires an individual who is fluent in English and Hindi/Urdu Speaking who also possesses excellent communication skills, a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve, and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals. We welcome experienced Healthcare Assistants, Carer and Support Workers from all parts of London.
Job Description:
- Support with meal service and, when necessary, assist with feeding to promote nutritional intake.
- Aid with mobility, ensuring safe and comfortable movement within the care environment.
- Provide compassionate companionship, offering emotional support and ensuring patient comfort.
- Monitor and document patients’ vital signs (e.g., temperature, weight) and report any significant changes to senior healthcare staff.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining and seating area for patients.
- Accurately maintain patient records, including daily care plans and other essential documentation.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and bed-making to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Administer medications
Skills and personal characteristics:
- Proficient in both English and Hindi or Urdu (essential); proficiency in Sindhi is considered an additional asset.
- Capable of administering prescribed medications
- Demonstrates compassion, kindness, and a genuine desire to care for others.
- Maintains a positive, cheerful, and approachable demeanour when interacting with patients and colleagues.
- Willing to engage directly with patients, providing hands-on assistance as required.
- Comfortable with providing personal care and supporting patients with daily living activities.
- Able to follow established procedures and instructions with attention to detail.
- Works effectively within a team while demonstrating initiative and independence when necessary.
- Possesses excellent communication skills, ensuring clear and empathetic interactions with patients and team members.
- Strong observational skills, with the ability to identify changes in patient condition and report them promptly.
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients but not required
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.

Pay rates:
£17.00 to £21.00 per hour depending on experience and shifts.

- Valid passport, Valid right of work, Proof of NINO,
- Two reference letters or details of two referees,
- Mandatory Trainings Certificates – (we can assist you to complete or refresh your mandatory trainings which will costs £55),
- Enhanced DBS Certificate – (we can assist you to apply for a new DBS which will costs £59),
- Qualifications – (we will assist you to complete Care Certificate),
- 2 x current proof of address.
Please be aware this position is subject to background checks.
Expected hours: Flexible to work 12 hour shifts, normally from Monday to Saturday, may need to work on certain Sundays and bank holidays if required.
